Built around two engines.

Aero South Florida specializes in the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A turboprop and the JT15D turbofan, the engines behind King Airs, Caravans and early Citations.

Concentrating on two engine families means the same inspections, findings and repairs come through the shop again and again. Problems get recognized early, and owners get a straight answer about what they mean for the engine.

The PT6A is a reverse-flow engine: air reaches the inlet at the rear of the engine, then travels forward through it.

Reduction gearbox

Steps the power turbine’s speed down to propeller speed. On the PT6A it sits at the very front, directly behind the propeller.
